The Easter Market in Timișoara 2026
In Timișoara, spring begins this year with a special highlight: from 27 March to 14 April 2026, the traditional Easter Market invites locals and visitors alike to experience the city at its most festive. During this time, the historic squares are transformed into a vibrant hub brimming with colour and tradition.
The main action takes place in Piața Libertății. The festive stalls and decorations also extend across the adjacent pedestrian areas in the heart of the old town.
The market is an excellent opportunity to discover Romanian craftsmanship. At the many stalls, hand-painted Easter eggs, traditional ceramics and fine wood carvings are offered directly by the makers.
Food lovers will be in their element. Alongside the classic Easter bread (Cozonac), there is a wide selection of local sweet and savoury specialities typical of the Banat region.
